Since 1976, Montdami Construction has been a family-oriented business that focuses on results in the civil construction and urban development industry. Each undertaking Montdami commits to aims to be of the highest quality while maintaining cost-efficiency, timeliness, and reliability. Montdami is an energetic, innovative, and dynamic company that prides itself on agility, efficiency, and inspiring confidence.

Angelo D’Amico

Director of Operations

Angelo focuses on job site operations at Montdami and liaising with clients/stakeholders to ensure Montdami meets and exceed client expectations. Angelo’s technical background combined with over 15 years’ worth of construction experience facilitates a great depth in overseeing Montdami’s project operations.

Sam D’Amico

Director of Engineering & General Manager

Sam has over a decade and a half of experience among all facets of engineering management. Sam has overseen quality projects using skills in job programming and operation, design, survey, and QA systems. Sam uses his technical and hands on experience in the construction industry to manage the company in its day to day engineering management and contract administration.

Darren Lamb

Area Manager

One of Montdami Constructions longest serving staff members, Darren commenced with Montdami in 2011. Starting initially as a labourer, he then became a leading hand and after building his experience was promoted to foreman. With a unique knowledge of the business over the years, Darren was promoted to Area Manager for the Southern region in 2022 which involves overseeing the staffing and machine allocation of sites and assists the foremen for projects across the southern area. Darrens strong experience, together with his strong people skills, has helped to shape his progression within the business.

Sebastian Acciarito

Area Manager

With almost 40 years of experience in the civil construction field, Sebastian brings exceptional experience and knowledge to Montdami Constructions. Initially starting his career as a concreter, he worked his way up in the industry becoming a Junior Foreman, a Supervisor and then finally an Area Manager. In his current role, Sebastian works closely with the Project Managers and Project Engineers across the North & Western regions to ensure that all forecasting is communicated to staff on site and oversees resources and people to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively, within time and budget.

Jun Chuah

Senior Project Manager

Jun is a Senior Project Engineer and has amassed over 10 years of experience in a diverse range of high-profile civil infrastructure and development projects. Jun draws on extensive technical and practical ability, applying these advanced skillsets and facilitating many successful project deliveries, all while communicating with clients and stakeholders with a relaxed yet collaborative approach. He holds a Master of Engineering (Civil).

Federico Saraga

Senior Project Manager

Federico joined Montdami in 2018, bringing three years of prior experience in working on construction projects overseas. Federico holds a Diploma in Surveying, Advanced Diploma of Engineering Technology, and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hons). Federico is a highly dedicated, motivated, and talented professional who melds an extensive technical training with ongoing practical experience. His high skillset ensures projects under his control are delivered to the highest possible standards and client satisfaction.

Michael Lay

Project Engineer

Mike joined Montdami in 2012 as an undergraduate and his drive and tenacity has landed him in a senior project management role. He graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil). Mike oversees a multitude of large scale residential and industrial development projects across South Eastern Victoria. A testament to his team building skills, Mike has bolstered strong relationships with statutory authorities, clients, and consultants alike, guaranteeing projects are always delivered to exceed client expectations.

Franco Vanni

Project Engineer

Commencing with Montdami in 2023, Franco has chosen Montdami Constructions as the place to continue his career after working for another civil construction business. Franco has 2 years of industry experience as well as formal qualifications, graduating with a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil and Infrastructure). Commencing his career as a graduate engineer, he then progressed to become a site engineer before being further promoted to project engineer. He works closely with site foremen, area managers and project managers to ensure that all Montdami Constructions projects are delivered within their set timeframes, budgets and within the highest measures of safety.

Vasilios Chronas

Project Engineer

Starting with Montdami in 2023, Vasilios brings extensive experience across subdivision and infrastructure projects as well as a passion for his trade. Working his way up at various civil construction businesses before making his way to Montdami, Vasilios has progressed in his career from a graduate position to site engineer and finally to project engineer. With a Bachelor of Building (Civil Engineering) from Latrobe University under his belt, he utilises his experience with practical knowledge to ensure projects are exceptionally undertaken. With a passion to keep learning, Vasilios is currently studying for his Master’s degree in Structural Engineering at Swinburne University.

Steve Geikowski

Surveying Manager

Steve joined the Montdami Constructions team in 2009. His range of experience includes engineering survey works for land development, infrastructure, and major structure projects. During his tenure, he has successfully managed multiple survey crews while working as Montdami’s lead surveyor. With over three decades of onsite experience, Steve’s pragmatic and cost-efficient approach to surveying consistently delivers accurate and reliable control over all Montdami projects.

Ryan Lee

Project Estimator

Ryan is a Project Estimator at Montdami and holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mech). Coming on board in 2018, Ryan brought with him over a decade of engineering systems and cost estimation experience. Ryan applies his considerable skills to ensure all Montdami projects are undertaken thorough forward planning and innovative methodologies, while maintaining high levels of value and efficiency.

Reza Ahmadi

Project Estimator

Reza holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) and is a Project Engineer at Montdami. Since joining the team, Reza has been involved in a multitude of urban development projects. Reza has demonstrated a proven ability in management organisation, planning, and fundamental engineering survey skills.

Michael Franco

Financial Manager

Michael joined the Montdami Construction team in 2009 as the Financial Manager. Michael brings extensive managerial experience through previous roles within large scale international manufacturing & logistics. A result driven, self-motivated individual, Michael applies his skillsets to manage financial data and reports while supporting key business decisions. Michael’s success has great bearing on his excellent communication skills and willingness to develop strong relationships with both his peers and business stakeholders.

Bec Steele

HR Generalist

Bec currently serves as an HR Generalist for Montdami Construction and brings with her over 16 years’ experience across a variety of HR functional areas. Throughout her career in human resources, Bec has worked with both mature and start-up organizations, conducting HR assessments, recruiting, providing coaching, and conducting training for both management and employees. Bec has supported clients in a variety of industries however has spent a lot of her career in the Civil and Industrial spaces, in areas including job description development, policy and procedure reviews and updates, employee recruitment and onboarding and employee relations issues. Bec provides guidance on general human resources compliance issues as well as manages policy and procedure implementations and updates for the business.

Graeme Down

HSEQ Manager

An experienced industry professional, Graeme started his career in construction more than 20 years ago. A passionate health and safety focused manager with extensive civil construction and building experience, Graeme joined Montdami Constructions in 2023 after serving in various roles for 3 other large civil construction organisations across Victoria. He has formal qualifications with a Diploma in OH&S and also Frontline Management from RMIT, graduating in 2007. With safety being a vital part of Montdami Constructions operations, Graeme’s role oversees the everyday management of all occupational health and safety and quality control for Montdami Constructions at all sites. Graeme is also passionate about sustainability and holds a site environmental management green card to ensure environmental sustainability.

Alfred Lian

Purchasing Officer

In the last four years, Alfred has been and will continue to be, dedicated to passing on savings to our key stakeholders. Alfred is a passionate team player who goes above and beyond to build strong working relationships with everyone in our company and all of our suppliers, representatives, and clients. Alfred prides himself in getting the best price and service for our business, supporting our Foreman, Engineers, Area managers, Supervisors & Clients.
